About Brenda Williams
Brenda Williams (formerly Rogers) is a native California artist who has had a lifelong involvement with art, both locally and internationally. During a 14-year period of living in the Middle East and traveling extensively throughout Europe she found inspiration for her art, and was able to take classes and workshops from internationally prominent artists such as Tina Ahmed and Margaret Henderson. Locally she has studied under well-known American impressionist Anita Wolff. Brenda’s studio is located at her home in the Sierra-Nevada mountains, surrounded by acres of Cedar and Pine forests. This is the perfect setting for Brenda to spend her time creating art. Philosophy: “ I paint as an entirely natural way to express myself. Through color, texture and brush strokes I try to create a dance on canvas that conveys the emotion and beauty all around us. I know when a painting has turned out really well because it creates the emotion in the viewer that I intended it to create... joy, serenity, passion, depth of thought or awe of beauty. There is an inner peace that comes with recognizing and really seeing the beauty of creation.”
